Categories: Engineering, General Management THE JOB—WHAT IT IS: As a Solid Waste Group Manager with Terracon, you will perform duties related to landfill facility design, gas monitoring, solid waste management plans, closure evaluations, and permitting. The position will work cooperatively with Terracons solid waste sector leadership to expand our solid waste consulting services across Kansas and Missouri. Technical support for Terracon’s solid waste projects in other areas may also be required on occasion. Responsibilities will include duties related to client development, recruiting, and technical direction. Requirements: THE PERSON—WHAT IT TAKES: A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field and a minimum of 7 years experience managing solid waste services consulting projects is required. A Masters Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred. The successful candidate must be a licensed P.E. in Kansas or Missouri or eligible for license in these states. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and a demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports are required. Familiarity with Land Development Software is preferred. You must have a valid driver’s license.
