Salary: The starting salary for Psychological Associate A is $45,033 per year, plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule/range is 12/08. A 6-month probationary period is required. This position is non-represented. The starting salary for the Psychologist Licensed is $56,647 per year plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule/range is 12/11. Applicants who have a doctoral degree in Psychology or a related field may receive add on pay. A 6-month probationary period is required.
Special Qualifications: The Psych Associate (A) position requires minimum of a Master s degree in an appropriate, recognized field of psychology from an accredited institution.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE (A) Preview Exam
The Department of Health Services (DHS); Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (DMHSAS); Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC); in Winnebago is currently recruiting for Psychological Associates and Licensed Duties: Both positions provide direct services to offenders such as psychological consultation services to institution/facility/school administration, designated review committees, consulting psychiatrists and other institution/facility and field staff involved in planning the total program of a given offender (e.g., medical, education, security, recreation and probation and parole staff); provide staff development and training; participate in clinical supervision and training to maintain, develop and refine clinical skills; participate in clinical research as directed.
Psychological Associates:You will receive professional direction from a licensed psychologist while performing the duties listed above. For those interested, The Department of Health Services provides required supervision for post doctorate licensing. Doctorate level Psychological Associates may provide clinical supervision to students in professional psychology.
Psychologists - Licensed:In addition to the duties listed above, you will provide clinical supervision to interns in professional psychology; assist in providing clinical supervision to unlicensed staff seeking licensure in Wisconsin; determine offender''s needs under Chapter 55 and 880 of the Wisconsin Statutes; arrange for voluntary transfers to approved treatment facilities under Chapter 51; provide expert testimony in court as defined under Wisconsin Statutes. Provide on-call emergency services as assigned, and provide court required assessments of patients committed or in the process of commitment under Chapter 980 may be required. Special Notes: Due to the nature of the position, all applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of psychology subject matter areas including psychology of personality, developmental psychology, psychopathology, psychophysiology, learning, perception, motivation, thinking, emotion and interpersonal relationships - and knowledge of these general areas as they apply to understanding and rehabilitating criminal behavior. Knowledge of theory, principles and practices of clinical psychology; theory and techniques of measurement, testing and psychological assessment; principles and practices of psychological diagnosis; theory and practice of psychological consultation; methods of scientific inquiry and research, including research design, statistical analysis and the preparation of research reports; skill in analyzing and integrating assessment information and communicating such in written psychological reports.
