Title: Tax Experienced Staff - National Tax - Global Compliance & Reporting - Dallas Location: TX-Dallas We currently have a career opportunity for a Tax Staff in the Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) group of our National Tax practice.
Responsibilities Assist in the execution of global compliance and reporting engagements. This role will supplement the capabilities of our Client Service Associates (CSAs) in those areas requiring technical competencies or professional judgment beyond the paraprofessional level. Representative tasks include:
? Pursuits- Support pursuit activities. o Manage pursuit support provided by GCR resources. o Assist lead client service teams in documenting global scope. o Respond to scoping questions that arise from CSAs or local EY member firms during the proposal process. o Perform technology demonstrations to prospective and current clients. o Prepare detailed scope/fee schedules and follow-up where appropriate.
? Transition- Support transition activities. o Develop transition workplans. o Assist in transition activities. o Monitor the contracting process and escalate issues appropriately. o Serve as an escalation point for transition issues that cannot be resolved by CSAs or our Global Talent Hub (GTH). o Implement technology and document engagement processes. o Prepare scope and fee reconciliation.
? Service Delivery- Support service delivery activities. o Serve as an engagement manager on smaller engagements supporting the global engagement leader. o Draft monthly project status reports. o Identify, document and resolve project issues. o Respond to queries from GTH that cannot be resolved at the CSA level. o Work with GTH and CSAs to prepare communications to non-US teams on routine and non-routine matters. o Facilitate and monitor service change requests. o Prepare materials to support scope expansion. o Work with the Financial Management Associate to track time and budget and arrange billings.
? Infrastructure o Assist with internal projects as assigned. To qualify, candidates must have: * an undergraduate degree in finance or accounting * at least 1 year of related work experience * desire to develop a career in a public accounting environment * strong project management skills * demonstrated technology proficiency and eagerness to expand technology and process skills * excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills We seek candidates with strong tax functional knowledge, demonstrated ability to team with and motivate others, and demonstrated ability to build meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues.
