Ketchum South (Atlanta) office is now accepting applications for its summer internship program that begins June 4th and ends August 10th. This is a paid internship. The application deadline is March 31, 2012. Applicants must be at least in their junior year and available for the entire 11 weeks to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain media lists Monitor and track media and write media updates Prepare pitch letters and pitch media Assist in the development of press materials including fact sheets and backgrounders Attend client and team meetings Write client and/or team memos Assist with research for new business opportunities and client presentations Assist with event coordination Participate in brainstorms Participate in internal meetings and agency events
Minimum Qualifications:
College student who is in at least his/her junior or senior year Graduates are welcome to apply as well Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Hands-on experience with and awareness of social media and online communities in relation to broader media mix Familiar with social media platforms and how companies use it to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages Flexibility to work on a variety of projects Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Must have a basic understanding of public relations through course work or prior internship experience Must be available for the entire length of the internship program

In addition to account work, interns will attend seminars, fieldtrips and work as a team on a final client assignment.
