787-9 Model Manager

The Model Manager will assist the 787-9 Program Manager with managing the technical, schedule and budget activities for the Boeing 787-9 Program. This shall include the tracking/management of program metrics to meet customer contractual requirements and internal business plan goals. .
The candidate should have the ability to effectively work and communicate across all levels of management within HS (multiple geographical locations) and the 787-9 platform organization, as well as with the 787-9 customer. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to be able to influence multiple groups locally and across multiple geographic locations.
The candidate shall have Program Management skills with a working knowledge of all PMSS management tools; with particular emphasis in demonstrating successful implementation of an Earned Value Management System, Change Management process, Requirements Management process and Design-to-Cost process.
The successful candidate will be the 787-9 Program Manager designated alternate when the PM is not available due to travel.

5 years minimum project engineering or management experience in a fast paced dynamic environment. Experience in ACE tools/Standard Work is a plus.
The primary experience/skills required for this position are:
1. Experience on development programs with emphasis on the qualification phase.
2. Ability to effectively communicate, prioritize and motivate both the Engineering and Operations team to produce initial hardware deliverables to the customer.
3. Effectively communicate with the Customer on an as needed basis in support of the Program manager.
4. Look objectively at the entire Platform needs when making critical decisions that are contained within your program.
5. Support the relentless management of business financial budgets in order to meet Business Unit financial objectives.
