Account Manager
Proactivate is currently partnering with an information technology solutions company to identify a top performing Account Manager to manage the Phoenix territory. You will work the Greater Phoenix area from your home office with support from regional team members.
Our client is a well-respected Value Added Reseller (VAR) of IT infrastructure technology and integration solutions with offices nationwide. Candidates who possess experience selling CISCO, VM-Ware, EMC and Servers are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience developing a lease portfolio is a huge plus.
In this role the Account Manager has excellent support from product teams, allowing the successful candidate unprecedented freedom to get close to clients and understand the client's business and IT needs, at both an executive level and operational level.
The focus of this position is new business pipeline development. We are looking for a Hunter to find, qualify and develop new accounts. The most successful Account Managers understand all the company offerings and offer fact-based IT solutions to each client. Success also requires developing value-enhancing business relationships with manufacturing partners and their local and regional representatives.
Successful Account Managers have a solid understanding of technology including a variety of hardware and software platforms. This company's framework allows you the best combination of exceptional internal expertise (well over 100 consultants to assist you in addition to the excellent product teams and finance organization) combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and compensation structure.
You MUST possess:
Local territory experience (Phoenix, AZ area)
Must have named accounts in Arizona
5+ years proven sales success in computer hardware sales, or in systems integration
Understanding of computer hardware/software platforms
The Ideal Candidate will also demonstrate:
Proven success at cold calling into accounts
Strong process orientation – experience using Salesforce or similar
Problem solving skills
Aggressive, high-energy approach to doing business, self starter
Confidence, drive, money-motivation
Strong sense of urgency
Understanding of solution selling
Ability to orchestrate resources in a team selling environment
Willingness to devote personal time to customers and vendor partners to develop relationships
A solid understanding of leasing or a very strong interest in developing a lease portfolio
Time management and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills to assist you at the executive level
Business acumen to understand the whole picture while executing at the detail level
Relationship selling experience
Assertive, consultative approach to closing deals
Diversity from an infrastructure standpoint – experience selling multiple solutions (hardware & software)
A Bachelor degree is preferred
Entreprenurial spirit/entreprenurship; experience running your own business is desirable
