• 300+ bed not-for-profit hospital, with a growing physician practice in west central California, is seeking a Director of Finance for the Physician Practice Medical Foundation.
• The practice is comprised of about 75 physicians, which is growing at a rate of 15 practices per year. The practices are in 25 different locations.
• The Director of Finance position is a hands-on position that will help build the finance function.
• The position will have dual reporting, with direct reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, and matrix reporting to the hospital CFO.
• Primary responsibilities include: development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of policies for finance, accounting, billing, budgeting, internal controls, and auditing.
• Will also be responsible for the maintenance of records to adequately safeguard the assets. 
• Have strong management background in healthcare finance jobs,  healthcare accounting jobs , hospital accounting jobs and/or hospital controller jobs.

• Experience with a large, multi-specialty physician practice, or similar practice foundation;
• BS or BA in Business Administration with a major in accounting is required;
• CPA or Masters Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting is highly desirable;
• 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting with 2 to 5 years in a management position, i.e., Director of Finance or Controller in the healthcare field is required;
• strong conceptual skills; strong budgeting and management skills; and working knowledge of financial concepts, physician practice management operations and Foundation model design.
• Prior experience in accountant jobs, finance job, healthcare finance jobs, hospital finance jobs and healthcare controller jobs a plus.

• The salary range is $160K to $180K
