Job Description This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) in Patuxent River, Maryland. Successful candidate will be responsible for: (1) Collecting, analyzing and screening technical data from technical publications, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, Technical Directives (TD) and OEM sources for entry to the OOMA Baseline; (2) Ensuring structural integrity of the data entry process for OOMA baseline; (3) Evaluating the maintenance planning documents developed by the OEM. Extended travel exceeding one week may be required. Extended work hours may sometimes be required in order to meet schedule requirements.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma is required. Formal training in naval aviation maintenance procedures and a minimum of seven (7) years experience is mandatory. Successful candidate must possess a minimum of seven (7) years experience with maintenance, maintenance training or logistics analysis of naval aircraft. OOMA experience in a squadron environment is required. Specific experience on the F/A-18 aircraft is highly desired, but equal experience on any Naval aircraft will be accepted. Knowledge of maintenance control operations, aircraft and accessory logs and records, and AV-3M documentation procedures is helpful.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) system is required. Applicant must be a self-starter and work well in a dynamic team environment. Successful candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
