The Analyst, Business Information will be primarily responsible for managing the Music companys' sales and marketing portal which consists of monitoring data, functionality and usage of all facets of the application: B2B product catalog; online store, sales reporting tool and customer service order tracking facility. Based in New York, the role will support Sony Music's domestic (US) internal sales, marketing, pricing, billing and publications groups along with external business partners.
Responsibilities:
-Pilot of the project team who will manage all content and functionality of the website. The analyst will be required to organize feedback and prioritize requirements to IT as requested by the internal and external users of the application. -Build, support and assemble site usage metric reporting through automated reports and ad hoc requests. -Data manager role involves gaining a strong knowledge of all upstream source data systems; understanding the downstream data uses by the recipients; and, trouble-shooting all problems that occur within that pipeline as they arise. -Assist VP with the establishment, assembly and processing of physical sales files from new business sources as they arise. -Manage and maintain the semi-automated new release setup sheets for account reps. -Conduct general demonstrations and training sessions of centralized application solutions for labels, accounts and business partners as needed.
