Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Comcast is seeking a professional with experience in business process design and analysis to support the development and implementation of new Business Class products and services. As part of the definition phase of new initiatives, the Business Process Analyst will be responsible identifying and documenting new processes or changes to existing processes necessary to support the creation of business requirements, system requirements and test plans. The Process Analyst may also participate in Business Acceptance Testing on the final solution to validate process efficacy and support the creation of methods and procedures documents and job aids needed to develop training. During the implementation phase, the Business Process Analyst will work with the deployment teams to evaluate the effectiveness of new processes through the analysis key business and system performance metrics and recommend potential enhancements. This individual needs to have a proactive, results oriented, hands on approach to driving process development, with strong problem solving and analytical skills, and exceptional interpersonal and executive communications skills. The candidate should also possess the facilitative leadership skills necessary to drive collaborative process development sessions and build alignment on key process decisions. The candidate must be comfortable as an individual contributor in an organizationally complex environment and possess the ability to influence key decisions, while driving measurable results.
Minimum Requirements: Functions/Responsibilities: o Review business case, high-level requirements and solution architecture to understand required business processes for new initiatives o Analyze existing business processes to evaluate current capabilities and identify best practices and process gaps o Work in partnership with key business stakeholders in the Field and Corporate to develop and document new processes o Create business process flows, activity diagrams, use cases and navigational models o Serve as a subject matter expert in support of the development of requirements, test plans and training materials o Support the translation of use cases into test scenarios for acceptance and end-to-end testing o Participate in the execution of Business Acceptance Testing and end-to-end testing o Define process metrics and performance goals for users and systems o Measure the performance of new processes and systems through metrics collection and analysis o Support the development of detailed methods and procedures and job aids for new processes o Identify existing process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities o Participate in product implementation to evaluate effectiveness of new process and support enhancements and redesigns as necessary o Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: o Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study o Experience in process analytics including definition of KPIs in process design/development o Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology desired o Ability to balance competing priorities in a very dynamic/fast-paced environment o Strong facilitation and group leadership skills o Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external constituents o Experience working with Microsoft Visio to create process documentation o Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required o Comcast is an Equal EmploymentOpportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug-free workplace employer
