Our client is an innovative and diversified multi billion global supplier of quality automotive products in Oakland County. This firm is looking for a consultant to act as an Assistant Corporate Controller. If you are hired for this position, you will be responsible for: finance personnel; preparing and distributing communications, resourcing materials and training to plant and product line finance personnel to ensure they are continuously advised of changes in accounting and reporting policies, procedures and requirements in a timely manner. Managing and maintaining the Accounting Conclusion Database in coordination with other personnel from the Controllers' office. Supporting the Director, Corporate Accounting and Reporting to ensure all compliance requirements and reporting deadlines are met with regard to periodic and annual reports. Providing support to the Company's external auditors in coordination with Director, Corporate Accounting and Reporting, and other special projects as assigned. Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, CPA certified, 7 plus years of finance and public accounting audit experience with exposure to SEC clients, high proficiency with computers, ability to prioritize assignments and projects, and strong oral and written communication skills. In addition to these requirements, the following are preferred: 4 plus years of Big 4 experience and a master's degree.
