Assistant Product Development Manager (Sports Marketing/Retail)
Provide support to Product Development Manager/Group Manager Product Development following up merchandise order, inventory flow, artwork, assortment selection.
Primary Responsibilities
20%: Manage the Product Development milestone calendar and ensure on time delivery of all samples and prototypes.
20%: Work cross-functionally with Assistant Buyers, Allocators, Vendors, Logistics, Manager Imports/QA, etc. to ensure execution and on time product delivery.
15%: Coordinate, approve, and transmit all necessary artwork to the appropriate source, tracking any changes and managing the entire development process with all 3rd party providers and internal team members.
15%: Partner with Buyers and Product Managers on finalizing costs and ensuring appropriate quantities are available to ensure on time delivery.
15%: Responsible for tracking all import purchase orders.
5%: Produce and analyze reporting as it pertains to product development and making recommendations based on analysis.
5%: Support Manager of Product Development/Group Manager Product Development in the development of the annual merchandise plan through review of the sales history by sub-department.
5% Prepare weekly selling reports, analyze and make recommendations to PD Manager on a weekly basis.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
1-3 year experience with production from conception to final execution.
Strong retail or manufacturing experience.
Possess strong computer skills in Word and Excel; Retail Ideas preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
