Working as an Engineer IV Radio Frequency, you will be considered as a senior level engineer and will be required to demonstrate strong technical skills. Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with little direction are required as you will be working on complex system performance, RF design, transmission, equipment, and/or traffic engineering activities.
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
Additional Responsibilities:
Design, test, measure and/or evaluate the wireless systems and/or equipment to achieve optimal performance
Provide a high level of technical guidance and leadership and be required to recommend, develop, and implement complex changes and additions to the system as well as develop documentation
The Engineer IV RF position is a non-supervisory position, however, you may lead a group of several project teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· BSEE/BSEET or equivalent work experience of 3-5 years in RF design, network performance, or related field work relevant RF 1900/850MHz
· Commands to Check RF parameters for Voice and Data performance on GSM Voice and Data (EDGE) on Ericsson 2G System
· In depth technical understanding and use of RF and Cell site testing tools (HP Analyzers, Tektronix), drive test equipment such as X-TEL, TEMS and Agilent and post processing tools such as Actix
· Strong knowledge of RF transmission principles, antenna theory, modulation, and multiplexing techniques
· In depth technical understanding and hands on experience of RF propagation tools such as Atoll, MapInfo and Automated cell Planning (ACP) tool
· Advanced knowledge of MapInfo and other mapping programs
· Project Management skills as well as strong technical knowledge
· This position is classified as a driving position. Must have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and meet the minimum requirements of AT&T driving policy.
· Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
· Exceptional skills in creation and performing of presentations
Desired Qualifications:
· Database experience is a plus e.g. Remedy
· Proficient with presentation in front of large groups
