Job Description
Located in our Corporate Headquarters, this department is a high volume call center serving BCU's entire membership base. If you are a driven person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment this is the career for you! Hours are 10:15 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. M-F.
1. Handles 80 - 100 incoming customer calls each day in a professional and courteous manner
2. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
3. Follows departmental policies and procedures, particularly those pertaining to customer verification
4. Answer customer questions, facilitate necessary account research and resolve disputes thoroughly and accurately
5. Use job knowledge and available resources to make every effort to answer the customers question during the first call
6. Educates the customer about credit union products and services, cross selling them based upon customer need
7. Assist management and co-workers in maintaining a productive and quality team environment
Job Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree a strong plus
• 2-4 years of call center or financial experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast paced environment while prioritizing work
• Ability to adapt easily to changes
• Ability to analyze information and form recommendations
• Positive attitude
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a strong team environment, within the department as well as other departments
• Excellent follow up skills and attention to detail
• Spanish speaking a strong plus
