Summary TheBell Captainis responsible for the supervision of the Bellpersons and Van Drivers and to participate in the daily duties of the Bellperson/Van Driver. The Bell Captain is the first and last impression of the hotel. The Bell Captain prepares weekly schedules for the AGM to approve, provides performance review feedback to the AGM, and assists the AGM with luggage gratuity reconciliation during the tour group season. The Bell Captain assists guests with luggage related requests and provides assistance to guests and coworkers as needed throughout the hotel. The Bell Captain transports guests to and from the airport, train depot, and other designated areas.
The Bell Captain must be flexible to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings. The Bell Captain position requires the ability to stand, sit and drive for eight or more hours on a shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities-Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position * Represent the hotel as an ambassador of customer service and customer careSafely drive a multi-passenger van * Greet guests upon arrival to hotel * Assist guests with luggage to and from their suite * Store and/or retrieve luggage from storage area * Handle bag delivery/bag pull for large groups * Interact with guests in a professional /helpful manner. * Provide information to guests regarding our hotels, local businesses, maps, and travel routes. * Effectively read and review group tour resumes and accurately complete luggage delivery and pick up * Work effectively as a part of a team. * Attend regular team meetings * Prepare weekly schedules for approval by the AGM * Prepare performance review feedback for the AGM * Prepare tour group gratuity information for the AGM to process * Other duties as assigned Supervision TheBell Captainis responsible for supervising the Bellpersons/Van Drivers for all three Chenega Hotels. This may require the Bell Captain to cover a shift on short notice.

Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED. Prior hotel and supervisory experience preferred.
Computer Skills Familiarity with general computer knowledge and MS applications is helpful, but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: Alaska Drivers License with a clean driving record from DMV
