Summary
This Seasonal position is from May 15 through September 15. The Bellman is the first and last impression of the hotel. The Bellman assists guests with luggage related requests and provides assistance to guests and coworkers as needed throughout the hotel. The Bellman transports guests to and from the airport, train depot, and other designated areas.

Represent the hotel as an ambassador of customer service and customer care
*
Safely drive a multi-passenger van
*
Greet guests upon arrival to hotel
*
Assist guests with luggage to and from their suite
*
Store and/or retrieve luggage from storage area
*
Handle bag delivery/bag pull for large groups
*
Interact with guests in a professional /helpful manner.
*
Provide information to guests regarding our hotels, local businesses, maps, and travel routes.
*
Effectively read and review group tour resumes and accurately complete luggage delivery and pick up
*
Work effectively as a part of a team.
*
Attend regular team meetings
*
Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. Previous customer service experience preferred.

Computer Skills
This job does not require computer skills. Training is provided.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:
Alaska Drivers License with a clean driving record from DMV

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and talk or hear. Work Environment -The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. When assisting hotel guests with their luggage and/or operating the hotel shuttle the employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions and must be able to operate the company vehicle in such situations.

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
