For more information on NSPS, please visit the website at Duties: You will serve as supply program analyst for the organization with responsibility for resolving issues and problems of a technical or procedural nature in supply operations, planning, and program management. Your work assignments are accomplished through the use of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, methodologies, and automated logistics systems. You will promote the effective requisitioning, utilization, and replacement of supply items to support the Army forward propositioning program. Your responsibilities include tasks such as the following: assures that all secondary items are properly authorized and documented, and that proper accountability is maintained. You will manage excess by various methods including cross leveling between types of strategic stocks and/or other Army Prepositioned Stocks sites. You will conduct analysis of asset positions to determine current or projected impact to Army propositioned stocks readiness. About the Position: NDAA FY2010 requires the repeal of NSPS. The position(s) covered by this vacancy annoucement is scheduled to transition from NSPS to GS or an applicable personnel system no later than January 1, 2012. Works for the U.S. Army Warrior Transition Unit, Warrior Transition Brigade, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. and is supervised under the entity chief. The purpose of this position is to resolve a variety of supply problems and situations involving stock levels, requirements, asset availability, disposition instructions and replenishment of assets for war reserve items and to review adjustments made to the inventory records. The position requires extensive coordination with functional areas, other Command elements, services and agencies to support day-to-day operations.
