Summary:
The Business Development Analyst is a part of Business Development team of the Military Intel & Operations (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Chenega Corporation. This team is responsible for the development of market insights and competitive intelligence supporting corporate tactical and strategic objectives and supporting the internal Knowledge Management (KM) function. The Business Development Analyst helps to develop essential market and business insights and analysis supporting the business development, competitive positioning, and strategic planning needs of Chenega MIOS. The Business Development Analyst also supports and oversees opportunity tracking and contributes to the proposal development process and internal knowledge management functions. The candidate will support BD representatives in further qualifying opportunities, building proposal teams, creating and answering data calls, capability matrixes and coordinating with other support elements in the MIOS SBU.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Market & Competitor Intelligence:
* Conducts external and internal research gathering information required to identify and qualify new opportunities and develop new market segments using proprietary databases and open-source research.
* Conducts external and internal research to support market, customer, and competitive positioning efforts.
* Prepares analytical studies and briefing reports for senior executives.
* Maintains proficiency in the use of market intelligence/business development tools/assets such as FedBiz, Centurion, INPUT and GovWin.
* Contributes continuous business process improvement of the Market Intelligence function and other business functions.
* Presents research findings and analysis to executives and team in oral or writing format.

Business Development Support:
* Helps identify, and qualify new organizational and business relationships and fosters existing ones both internal and external.
* Coordinates, organizes, and participates in business development meetings and interfaces.
* Assists in ensuring the dissemination, accuracy, and coordination of the BD new opportunity report and BD new opportunity tracking tool.
* Supports Business Development capture efforts as required.
* Provides as needed writing support to internal and external proposal efforts, requests for information, request for quotes, and development of white papers.

Knowledge Management:
* Supports and Manages components of the Chenega MIOS knowledge management process to include information archiving and database oversight.
* Contributes to the continuous process improvement of the KM function.
* All other duties assigned to meet business needs.

Supervision:
No formal Supervisor Responsibility. May be required to independently leading teams and ad-hoc work groups.

Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* High level written and oral communications skills are a must.
* Direct experience with Competitive Intelligence,
* Market Intelligence Research, and Federal Contracting is Preferred.
* Industries experience in Enterprise Information Systems IT, Software Application Development, Intelligence, and Special Operations a plus.
* Familiarity with US Armed Forces also a plus.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree -Business Management, Business Development, Marketing, Journalism or Knowledge Management and a minimum of 1 years direct experience in a Business Development, Market Research, Federal Contracting or Knowledge Management functions in a for profit enterprise preferred. A minimum of 5 years direct experience in a Business Development, Market Research, Federal Contracting or Knowledge Management functions in a for profit enterprise may be substituted for formal education.

Computer Skills:
Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project), and Outlook.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Secret clearance but not required to start.
