Weber Shandwick's New York office is recruiting for a Director, Business Development. The Director, Business Development is responsible for supporting Weber Shandwick's business development efforts for the Corporate practice. The Director must possess strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. Strong interpersonal skills, project management, attention to detail, and ability to meet and work against tight deadlines are also crucial to success in this role.
* Act as the point person on most key RFP submissions * Drive development of pitch-specific materials, including PowerPoint presentations, videos, and diverse collateral materials, working in partnership with business development team, practice and pitch leaders; * Liaise with business development leads across U.S. offices, Interpublic Group of Companies sister agencies and third-party partners (research, video production/editing, graphic design, production, etc.) to support business development opportunities; * Respond to business development-related requests for information from local markets; * Help set editorial content for business development Flash report; * Regularly refresh and update Intranet content
Success Factors * Strong oral and written business communications skills * Ability to anticipate and support team needs and those of internal and external clients * Attentive to detail and quality * Ability to lead projects and interact with colleagues and executives at all levels * Ability to work in a team environment and also independently * Experience completing challenging projects within set parameters * Strong commitment and dedication to agency's success as well as to personal career * Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Internet, on-line services/databases
RequirementsBachelor's Degree5-7 years Public Relations/ advertising/marketing professional experience is preferred
