Job Description
Provide logistical support to the 31st ADA brigade. Support subordinate battalions when required to include participation and logistical support in a variety of operations and/or training events. Support the development and effort of training briefings, training workshops, and command briefings. Assist the S3 in the forecasting and tracking of ammunition and bulk fuel resupply. Able to interface with the Expeditionary and Theater Sustainment Commands, Combat Sustainment SPT Battalions - "CSSB", Sustainment Brigades, Brigade Support Battalions. Provide the Brigade Commander and S4 with counsel and expert advice on contracting and government purchase card (GPC) acquisitions. Track and report on Government Travel Card (GTC) delinquencies within the brigade. Assist with TDY Management WRT to DTS and budgetary matters. Coordinates with the BDE S4 and the BDE SPO but reports to, and actively supports the BDE S4, for planning supply, maintenance, transportation, services, and support operations functions while understanding and dealing with Classes of supply to include I, II, III (bulk and package), IV, V, VII, and IX ensuring higher echelons are providing combat elements with food, fuel, and ammunition (both conventional and missile). Attend meetings and conferences as directed. As required, assist with planning and coordination in support of exercises and contingency operations. Provide training advice and technical expertise to the commanders, operations officers, staff officers, and senior noncommissioned officers in support of day-to-day operations and training, exercises, and real-world operations. As required, support the development of evaluation procedures and metrics to assist units in meeting performance standards necessary to successfully execute operations. Upon the conclusion of each training event or operation, participate in hot washes, prepare lessons learned documents, conduct analysis, and provide recommendations for follow-on actions applicable to each event. Develop and disseminate charts, briefings, and other information pertaining to the conduct of the events and in support of daily operations. At least 5 years experience in US Army in a logistics capacity. Experience on Battalion or higher level staff as an S4 or S4 NCOIC to include dealing with logistics required. Also must possess current functional skills on the Microsoft Office software suite. BA/BS degree strongly preferred, but logistics operations experience is primary qualification. Secret Clearance required. Requirements for travel up to 25%. Candidate must be eligible for a security clearance which requires US citizenship.
