Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a large Financial Insurance and Reinsurance firm to recruit an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This position will report to CEO and the Board of Directors of the firm and will have tremendous exposure to the industry. The candidate must be an individual who is extremely dependable. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: - CPA / CFA highly preferred - Degree in Finance / Accounting. Masters / MBA preferred - 10 to 15 + years of STRONG Accounting and Finance experience - Candidate coming from Big 4 and Financial Reporting highly preferred
The CFO is responsible for a engaging with business groups to provide a broad range of finance and accounting collaboration. The CFO will partner with the business by providing decision support, evaluations, and making determinations on financial matters that add value to the business being supported. The CFO will provide accurate and timely financial reporting to executive management and business managers, CEO, and Board of Directors. The CFO will also review and analyze the annual business planning and monthly/quarterly forecasts. This role will provide leadership and guidance to other VP’s, Controller, and other finance staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills and experience with reporting/financial tools such as FRx, Hyperion Essbase or other financial consolidation tools o Strong understanding of internal financial controls over financial reporting o Knowledge of GAAP and other related accounting and finance standards, policies and procedures.
EDUCATION: o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance o MBA or CPA strongly preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE: o 10- 15 years financial reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis experience with an Insurance company o 5 - 8 years supervisory or management experience o Proven dedicated business support in a consultative or change agent roll
