This rarely available and extremely highly visible executive level position will provide an ideal candidate with a significant professional challenge to provide leadership in establishing and coordinating the company's financial affairs in accordance with accepted financial principles and government regulations. Reporting to the President & CEO, the successful candidate will have direct and regular interaction with the company's top management and Board of Directors. Position Overview: Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the firm’s fiscal functions and performance. Provides strategic leadership on financial affairs of the firm including investment decisions, evaluation of potential contracts and mergers and acquisitions.
The candidatemusthave these basic qualifications/requirements: * A minimum of 10 years as a Controller or CFO of an Engineering Consulting Firm or a Professional Services Firm * A Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) and Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Technical, or a related degree
Preferred Qualifications: * Strong preference for individuals having direct related experience with a privately held organization * CPA certification Key Responsibilities: * Manage company-wide real estate assets * Monitor and control overhead spending * Assist Principals, Project Managers and Branch Managers with collections of delinquent accounts * Provide Manager’s information needed to manage projects, departments, and branch offices * Prepare monthly financial letter for Board of Directors * Participate in the development of the agenda for the Board of Committee and Board of Directors meetings * Provide financial strategies consistent with continued independent employee owned company * Oversee the investment of funds and manage associated risks * Participate in the evaluation and development of insurance programs (general liability, professional liability, property, auto, etc.) * Provide leadership in the financial evaluation of acquisitions including all aspects of the acquisition process * Development of the firm-wide budget * Acts as the firm’s agent in negotiating banking/credit relationships Location Laurel , MD Minimum Experience (yrs): Required Education: Master Benefits:
