Description
The Client Operation Management team provides advance support to clients and to various CA departments by overseeing the implementation of investment decisions, answering operationally driven questions, and reviewing performance reports. The Associate will serve as a key member of the consulting team. Specific responsibilities of the Associate include, but are not limited to, the following: * Interact with clients, consulting teams, and other internal CA departments to ensure effective communication regarding implementation of investment decisions. * Develop on-going tracking analysis of changes in the portfolio (i.e. manager hiring / firing, capital calls / distributions, cash flows, new commitments, etc.) and relay this information to the various interested parties. * Assist with the accurate completion and timely distribution of performance reports. * Answer operationally driven client and consultant questions. * Develop customized operations management exhibits for consultant and client use (including team updates, monthly pro-formas, performance proxies, liquidity analysis, etc.). * Contact investment managers and custodians regarding individual portfolios (i.e. to execute investment decisions, to make changes in performance reporting criteria, to update contact information, etc.) * Reconcile manager statements with custodians and / or internal performance calculations. * Coordinate with the consulting team: help organize team meetings, monitor open issues, maintain records. * Perform special projects, create analytical reports, provide supplemental analysis, and assume certain responsibilities as needed. Qualifications: * BS/BAwith one to two years of related experience, preferably in the financial services industry. * Highly motivated, self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit with desire to work hard and make a positive impact through process improvements and superior customer service. * Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to work on several projects simultaneously both independently and collectively as a team. * Experience using computer software including Microsoft Excel and Word. Bloomberg and FactSet experience a plus. * The successful candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, a desire to learn, and ability to work independently while being a team player.
