Communications Specialist II
Job Description:
The Communications Specialist assist in building and maintaining beneficial relationships between Primary Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) and its key stake holders through the consistent use of best practice communication tools. Incumbent helps organize, direct, produce, coordinate and effectively communicate the PCMC’s plans, policies, programs, and activities to various audiences.
This is is a full-time, benefits eligible position working Monday through Friday.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or related liberal arts major requiring strong writing skills.
Minimum of three years experience in journalism, public relations, communications or advertising
Experience coordinating social media content for Facebook and Twitter
Demonstrated ability to create publications from conceptualization, through writing, design and printing
Demonstrated skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Demonstrated excellent writing and publication production experience
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and experience with copy editing and proof reading
Ability to coordinate multiple projects under strict deadlines
Preferred Qualification:
Healthcare experience
Marketing experience
Web development experience
Photography, videography and video editing experience
Physical Requirements
Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Speaking
