This position is responsible for anticipating risk on major corporations before the corporate account is set up in the system by utilizing: Internal risk models as well as reviewing external risk indicators such as Dun & Bradstreet, Anticipate and potentially prevent losses by targetting major corporations by industry at the earliest possible stage to control our exposure on all products; thereby reducing potential losses. Develop a strategy to action these accounts on a priority basis after advising Sales, S/E (if applicable), Executive and Legal if warranted. Develop a system for reporting and tracking results and trends by industry that potentially could impact C/R and the loss rate. Build an external network of contact within various industry groups to gather financial information on a major corporation or industry to assess the level of risk to AMEX.
Required Qualifications:
Key operational risk role aiming to protect the Corporate product from losses. Responsible fore recommending spend levels. In-depth knowledge of Credit policies and procedures, products and best practices. Ability to react immediately to potential risk in a calm and organized manner. Must possess strong credit instincts and be able to act upon them in conjunction with Management, Sales, Legal and Executive. Proven administrative time and organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to listen, identify and respond to Senior Management's concerns relative to potential high risk exposure. Ability to convey written and oral information clearly in both formal and informal settings. Must be decisive, diplomatic, flexible and self-reliant. P.C. knowledge (Excel, Word etc.) a must.
