Contract Specialist Tracking Code 303372-777 Job Description Under the direction of the Senior Government Contracting Officer and in coordination with the SSI Senior Contract Specialist, provide contract management/administration in support of the bid process for a new government construction project. Support the solicitation process to include the administration of procurement paperwork, preparation of IFBs, and processing in-coming bid documents for evaluation. Position will be located in Washington, DC for an approximate period of six months or until award. Required Skills * Must hold active Top Secret security clearance to be considered * College degree preferred but will substitute experience for degree * Personable, customer service-oriented, team player who can also work independently Required Experience * 10 years of experience as a Federal Contract Specialist and/or Contracting Officer * Level II Certified Contracting Officer preferred * Knowledgeable of construction contracting and procurement processes * Demonstrated knowledge of contracting principles, laws, regulations, and procedures and knowledge of contract types, methods, and techniques to solicit and award complex contracts * Experience carrying out a variety of pre-award and/or post-award contracting functions including responsibility for planning, directing, and administering complex major acquisitions
