Job Description
The Manager of Mopar Training is responsible for managing the development of effective training and communication efforts aimed at maximizing the knowledge, productivity and efficiency of service and parts dealership personnel. Managing Parts curriculum, class fill, interest lists, offerings, schedules and the parts assessment process. Developing new courses & refreshing existing courses as needed based on dealer feedback. Reviewing all courses semi-annually. Tracking & evaluating results. Managing developmental budgets and maximizing efficiencies & ROI. Interacting with Mopar and other Chrysler Group departments for current topics, initiatives & strategies. Keeping current on retail trends and implications. Managing topics, development, programming, photo shoots, audio and video for Master Service & Parts quarterly web series. Working with vendors in pursuing the best training solutions, at the best price, while providing overall direction. Benchmarking Chrysler dealers & other sources and extracting "best practices" for consideration within our strategies.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Training or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of Field or Retail experience in Automotive Fixed Operations
- Experience in training development
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience in developmental budget management
- Knowledge of Mopar Service and Parts policies & procedures
- Ability to interact effectively with various management levels
- Understanding of training development/application
- Strong communication skills -- written, verbal and platform
- Ability to multi task and work in a rapid paced environment
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity and ease with office automation programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in dealer financial statement & industry benchmarks
