A fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative nonprofit organization headquartered in the Chicago Loop has an opportunity for a Controller to join their team. The organization has experienced dramatic growth in the last two years and currently has a staff of nearly 20 with offices in three cities. The Controller will work collaboratively with the V.P. Finance & Operations, Senior Managers and other staff to ensure the financial stability and viability of the organization and its effective and efficient financial management. The recent addition of Great Plains Analytical Accounting and Grant Management Modules requires significant report development and user interface to ensure operating managers have the tools and information they need. The Controller will develop and maintain sound systems and procedures for all agency fiscal operations. In addition, the Controller will review financial statements and prepare reports for submission to the V.P. Finance & Operations, President/CEO, and Board.

Experience: To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience including experience working for a non-profit. The individual should have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and have excellent communication skills.
