My client, a fast growing professional services firm, is seeking a new Corporate Controller for their downtown headquarters. They are looking for an individual who can interact comfortably and confidently with the best and brightest businesses as well as provide proven leadership throughout the organization. In this position you will supervise 4 people and report directly to the CEO. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of the monthly internal financial statements, generate a weekly cash position report and budgeted cash flow based on anticipated receipts and expenditures, establish, monitor, and enforce accounting policies and procedures, establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls, provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data and making recommendations to CEO.
To be qualified for this position you will preferably have, both, public (preferably from the Big 4) and private experience. A CPA or an MBA is strongly preferred. This company is extremely people focused and you must fit into that mold. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, articulate, and have true managerial skills. Experience in the service industry is strongly preferred.
