Job Summary We are looking for a seasoned accounting/finance professional, who has a proven track record as a successful corporate controller. Responsibilities include all aspects of the accounting function for the company, the corporate control environment, management/financial reporting for the organization and representation of Finance and Accounting on cross functional initiatives. Early projects would include integrating the existing infrastructure and automating processes to support business unit p&l reporting, operationalizing those reports across the business and evaluating enhancements and upgrades to existing financial applications to achieve operational efficiencies. Excellent managerial, reporting and communication skills are essential. Responsibilities Supervise of the day to day activities of the accounting function, including, but not limited to, general ledger, purchasing, A/P, A/R, and payroll, cash management and stock option records. Complete the timely and accurate monthly close, consolidation of a US parent and subsidiaries in the UK, France, Switzerland, Bermuda, India, China and Japan, management/financial reporting and preparation of all group reporting requirements. Responsible for international outsourced service providers. Perform and supervise technical accounting research for specific transactions or special projects. Maintain the accuracy and reliability of the control framework around the accounting systems and preparation of the financial statements. Liaison with the auditors and management of the interim and year-end audit processes. Federal and State corporate, sales and property tax compliance plus knowledge of international tax reporting. Supervision and development of the accounting team. Requirements Requires a minimum of 10+ years relevant accounting experience, 5+ years management experience, with some as a Corporate Controller CPA with a BA in Accounting, Business or related discipline is also required Recent experience in a large software and/or public technology company. Experience with international accounting/finance operations also required. Strong technical background with experience of software industry related US and International GAAP, including revenue recognition and equity accounting. Knowledge of Outlooksoft, Softrax and Platinum accounting software and experience of financial systems conversion strongly preferred. Knowledge of and experience with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley preferred. Excellent verbal/written communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
