vrecruiting is partnering with an Austin –Based Restaurant/Hospitality Company looking to hire aCorporate Controller. Excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor as this companies first Controller. Responsibilities:
The Controller will handle all accounting, database/analysis, and financial responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include:
•Manage day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including preparation of weekly and monthly financial statements •Interaction with other the Company Leadership •Cash management, and bank structures and relationship •Detailed communication and planning with outside accounting firm •Accounting duties, including payables/receivables, inventory management, sales reporting, cost accounting, financial forecasting and modeling, expense reimbursement system, etc. with focus on systems building, implementation and efficiency •Loss prevention •Establish, implement, and maintain internal controls •HR functions, including employee benefits administration (familiarity with Ultimate Software a plus) •Income tax planning, primarily preparation of information for outside CPA prepared tax returns •Managing of insurance coverage and premiums (shared responsibility with HR Director) •Other financial, accounting, tax and administrative aspects, including evaluating, implementing, and overseeing the use of technology in the company’s operations. •Financial Analysis and Modeling (Cash, Real Estate, ROI on company projects and expansion) •Oversight of conversion of existing accounting software (MAS90) to Compeat •Presentations and Reporting (Periodic Board Reporting) Qualifications:
* 5+ yrs. experience in a Controllership role – prefer recent restaurant or hospitality industry experience. * BBA/Accounting * CPA * Proven Ability to manage and lead teams * Proven ability to streamline processes and procedures * Very strong communication skills required – transparencya must * Excellent and above average salary and benefits & bonus
