Title Cost Accountant Requirements Qualified Candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance - 3+ years related experience in financial analysis/reporting - Excellent Microsoft Excel, Database and ERP/MRP skills - Solid understanding of GAAP - Strong interpersonal and communications skills - Ability to work independently and under pressure - Sound planning and organizational skills Function A Leading Manufacturing Company located in Bergen County, New Jersey has an excellent opportunity for a Cost Accountant who will be responsible for the following: Duties - Review labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overheard, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels - Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results - Perform audits of bills of materials to ensure product/labor costs are accurate - Ensure timely and accurate input of bill of material and price code changes - Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan strategic planning and distribution - Review actual to budget variances, provide explanations for significant variances - Perform regular walkthroughs with plant management to discuss production and costing issues - Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items monthly - Interface with finance and other executives to determine analytical, budget, forecast, reporting and systems needs - Prepare account analysis/reconciliations; make recommendations for improvement and document procedures - Review/research cycle count variances Oversee internal controls at the plant for operations and finance LOCATION Job Location New Jersey Relocation COMPENSATION Pay 60,000-70,000 Type Permanent Duration OTHER Comments If you are interested in this excellent opportunity (and/or others similar to it) please forward your resume to and/or call us at .
