As a creative director, based in Columbus, OH/Newtown, PA, you will be responsible for partnering with our internal teams and clients on strategy, design, and execution of innovative healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing initiatives. In this role, you will be required to understand client challenges and work closely with the studio director to lead accounts, participate in new business opportunities, drive the strategic direction of the studio, and assemble large project teams that can conceptualize, design, and deliver engaging interactive solutions. The creative director must possess the ability to take abstract concepts and minimal corporate visualization and empower project teams to create cutting-edge concepts or designs that are user-friendly, representative of the client's goals, and within brand guidelines. In most cases, you will be required to manage art directors and interactive designers and oversee the creative process. You will also be required to partner with copywriters, strategists, information architects, and developers on the execution and implementation of concepts.
Description of Duties: – Partner with studio director to develop and drive the strategic direction of the studio – Partner with clients to understand their brand, messaging, and creative vision – Develop strong relationships with clients and position Blue Diesel as a preferred agency – Direct the creation of interactive solutions that go beyond static, flat, or traditional campaigns – Review all creative work for the studio, guide teams with relevant feedback and direction – Work with external agencies on creative deliverables, ensure Blue Diesel is a strategic partner – Present creative deliverables to clients and relay feedback to teams – Lead the development of new business presentations and the design of written responses – Participate in new business meetings, acting as the voice for the creative domain – Stay abreast of technology and interactive marketing trends – Stay abreast of pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing trends – Partner with client services to establish timelines and schedules, ensure adherence to them – Partner with client services to establish project scopes and budgets, ensure adherence to them – Identify staffing needs and participate in resource planning meetings – Follow Blue Diesel processes, ensure adherence to them – Mentor and manage art directors, sr. interactive designers, interactive designers, motion graphics designers, and interns – Perform duties as assigned by vp, creative director, or management team
Minimum Requirements: – At least 10 years of agency (or in-house agency) interactive experience – Degree in Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related course of study – In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office – Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing – Understanding of ActionScript – Understanding of Flash, Flex, and AIR – Understanding of ProScape, Skura, and Exploria – Understanding of HTML and CSS – Understanding of video and multimedia – Understanding of traditional advertising channels and campaign development – Experience with print is a plus
