-Expertise in advanced PL/SQL techniques in a 10g and 11g environment, - Proven experience developing PL/SQL for large scale software applications -Expertise in SQL tuning of large database environments - Experience with large databases with high transaction volume in a fast-paced, production environment -Expert in PL/SQL development for Oracle high demand OLTP/reporting applications - Good DDL and DML writing skills are essential as well as being able to write complex queries for reporting - Demonstrated experience using Oracle partition utilization to increase performance - Should be able to write packages, procedures, functions, and triggers as well as be able to create tables with constraints and that are indexed - Strong knowledge and use of development, methodologies, standards and procedures - Ability to process complex business requirements and develop a stable, scalable, and efficient architecture to support those requirements - Proven experience with Complex Data Modeling/Entity Relationship Modeling and Design, Experience implementing Materialized views for reporting applications - Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks. - No H1B visa employees. - US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED - Sponsorship for work authorization for this position is not available. - Work with project managers, identify expected user classes and stakeholders to elicit needs, understand user tasks and objectives, and the business needs supported by those tasks. - Analyze the information received from users to distinguish their task needs from functional requirements, business rules, quality attributes, suggested solutions, and extraneous information. - Partition system-level requirements into major subsystems and allocate portions of those requirements to software components. - Understand the relative importance of quality attributes. - Trace individual requirements to their corresponding designs, source code, and test cases. Track requirements status and change activity throughout the project. - Design , Develop and Implement stored procedures/packages
Consultants hired into GBS Public Sector will typically be located in an IBM office or at an IBM client site in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Except in limited cases, relocation to the Washington, DC area is required and is not reimbursable. Generally, Public Sector clients are in the DC Metro area and require limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Thus, while most projects are in the DC metropolitan area, Consultants must be able to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel requirements.
