Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
MTSI is searching for aDSPengineer with extensive, hands-onDSPdesign and development experience to support MIT/Lincoln Laboratory in the Boston area. As part of a very diverse development, prototyping, integration and test team, the successful candidate will be directly supporting the development of digital signal processing capabilities for advanced communication systems. Applicant must be willing to work in a fast paced, rapid prototyping environment with minimal day-to-day direction. Applicant will be part of a hybrid team spanningDSP, RF, software and hardware disciplines solving critical airborne and space communications problems.
Required:
- 5+ years of practical experience withDSP, algorithm development and implementation.Java and/or C++ experience desirable
- In-depth knowledge of Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT) and Discrete Fourier Transforms (DFT)
- Space communications knowledge to include Forward Error Correction (FEC), channel coding, modulation and demodulation techniques
- Active TS clearance, clearable to SCI
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related area
- Desire to work in a dynamic, constantly changing, rapid fielding environment
Desired:
- Master’s in relevant electrical engineering discipline
- Communications hardware and/or software experience (UHF, X-band, Ku-band or Digital Broadcasting)
