Job Description
• Identify new partnership opportunities that leverage Franchise capabilities and support Franchise strategy
• Define strategies for identifying target markets and competition to grow the Company's global presence
• Develop and execute business development strategies based on development results and targeted opportunities
• Interface with internal project development teams to guide overall strategy, communicate the competitive environment and comprehend potential areas of need and differentiation
• Present company technology, capabilities, early programs and product development results to potential and existing partners
• Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and identify potential opportunities
• Support negotiations, in association with Baxter's BD group, incorporating input from relevant Company areas to facilitate completion of agreements
• Represent the Company in emerging and established markets by networking with potential business partners to create collaboration opportunities
• Engage with key opinion leaders at conferences, trade events, and other industry-specific engagements
• Monitor and communicate competitive environment for developing new products
• Develop and execute on market research data as required to identify and interpret changing user attitudes, demands and needs for existing company and competitive products
• Establish and implement metrics to support/create business case for all existing and newly introduced programs
• Develop financial models that will be used for business forecasting
• Work closely with Clinical, R&D, Market Access, Marketing, Communications and Business Development teams as needed to provide commercial leadership and ensure consistency with franchise strategies
Job Requirements
1. Excellent quantitative and qualitative assessment and critical thinking skills, and ability to constructively challenge various aspects of the deal.
2. Solid strategic planning and organizational capabilities and business acumen.
3. Track record in leading projects to successful completion and leading cross functional teams (internal and external resources).
4. Strong ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs, and assess competitive intelligence data.
5. Working expertise in the areas of new product development, pricing & reimbursement, marketing.
6. Bachelor's degree in business or a scientific discipline; MBA or Graduate degree in a related scientific field preferred.
7. Minimum of 10 years of business experience with business development, marketing, new product planning or strategy
8. Experience working with corporate partners and ability to network effectively
9. Proven track record in successfully identifying new opportunities and managing their implementation.
10. Proven ability to perform analyses of potential corporate partners including analyses of partners' product development pipelines and commercial infrastructure.
11. Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization. High degree of facilitation and collaborative skills.
12. Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
