Serco-NA is looking for a Business Development Director with experience within the Federal Information Technology services arena. Position will be based in the metropolitan DC area. The successful candidate will have extensive documented success within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Information Technology services arena with particular experience using the DHS Eagle contract vehicle. Relevant experience base should be related to full lifecycle IT support services. Such services include Application Development , Acquisition Support ,Enterprise Architecture & Software Development, Information Assurance and Network Solutions. Responsibilities * Develops comprehensive account plan * Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities * Develops and maintains a pipeline of strategically relevant business opportunities related to Federal IT, specifically focusing DHS agencies * Works across Serco Business Groups to support end to end client solutions * Develops materials and presents opportunities for internal deal reviews * Will primarily be responsible to the DHS market and use of the Eagle contract vehicle, and therefore, should have a strong network of contacts and familiar with the major DHS programs and upcoming initiatives
Required Skills
* 10+ years of business development experience within the federal civilian environment. * Bachelor's Degree Required. * Thorough working knowledge of the Federal procurement process, and a demonstrated proficiency with DHS strategy, acquisition plans and preferred contract vehicles. * Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers. * Effective leader/participant in formal presentations to clients and potential teaming partners. * Proven track record of building winning teams as well as successfully negotiating with potential team members as to roles and participation. * Detailed insight into DHS technical infrastructure/technology and related programs is required. * Strong written and oral communication skills.
