Director, Business Development This is a key sales function chiefly involved in generating revenues from new business opportunities;Responsible for prospecting new clients within a specific business vertical, industry or client typeand/or geographical region; Identifies potential business to business partnerships to achieve new revenues with established profit margin targets; Executes existing business strategy to achieve specific revenue goals and objectives; Works within established budget; Develops effective business relationships with industry contacts to maintain current on trends and solutions * Meets fiscal revenue and profit objectives * Assists in planning and executing strategic opportunity plans * Develops strategies and tactics leveraging competitive advantage and profitability * Develop and own functional area expertise within an industry vertical * Build strategic networks and business relationships * Attends industry events and functions * Prospects and identifies new business opportunities * Prospects and qualifies recurring business opportunities * Develops and presents complex proposals including cost justification, business case and technical portion of response for integrated solutions which represent high value for the customer and profit for the company * Prepares and conducts formal group presentations at senior management levels to sophisticated, national and global customers * Provides primary point of contact for the customer * Develops strong customer relationships * Closes sales utilizing team and company resources to maximum potential * Provides valuable / timely information to peers, supervisors and business team * Acts as two-way conduit on all leads and opportunities * Completes budgets and business forecasts accurately and on a timely basis. * Demonstrates fiscal responsibility with expense management Qualifications * University degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or Business Administration or equivalent experience * Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry with a strong understanding of the sales process * BPO back Office, CRM, e-business, outsourcing and ERP application experience preferred * Proven ability to network, build business relationships, prospect and develop business solutions; experience in account management or consulting
