Navigant’s D&I practice focuses on assisting corporations and their counsel in addressing the issues associated with complex disputes, forensic accounting issues, global investigations and compliance, and technology services. Navigant’s Global Investigations & Compliance team has unparalleled anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, monitoring, and investigative expertise. Our professionals conduct investigations and assess and enhance compliance programs including internal controls systems; develop and implement training programs and deploy proprietary technological and investigative due diligence protocols for some of the world’s largest companies. We combine deep investigative, law enforcement, industry and accounting skills to address anti-money laundering, bribery & corruption, the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, public sector & monitorship matters.
Responsibilities:
* Provide subject matter expertise in the area of Business Intelligence and Investigative Research, which includes investigative due diligence and corporate risk and intelligence, along with an expertise in conducting internal investigations
* Lead, manage, and supervise teams on business intelligence, investigative due diligence, and internal investigation engagements
* Participate in business development initiatives that include targeting external clients, attending industry conferences, and speaking engagements
* Responsible for day to day management and technical execution of all research, analysis and investigative work conducted
* Supervise and conduct data gathering activities including document review and supervision and quality control of data entry activities
* Evaluate internal control structures to help identify weaknesses and associated risks
* Evaluate the general risk faced by the client and the impact of those risks on the organization
* Develop, perform and supervise detailed financial, economic and statistical analysis
* Perform database and open source research to corroborate information on individuals or corporate subjects
* Verify accuracy of credentials by contacting outside agencies and cross-referencing that information
* Training and development of more junior level staff
* Responsible for engagement planning and management
* Assist in proposal development



Qualifications:
* 15 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting and/or litigation/disputes consulting firm, financial services industry or regulatory environment conducting business intelligence and internal corporate investigations
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, economics or related discipline
* Prior investigative experience in law enforcement is desired
* Excellent business development capabilities to help drive revenue for the team – proven ability to develop and generate business for the firm
* Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory issues that could affect an organization
* Strong project management skills in monitoring billing of hours, training and development, and providing supervision
* Must possess sound judgment and be able to operate independently
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet timely deadlines
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Ability to travel
