Position Primary Responsibilities:
· Deliver overall budgeted product and import costs, and manage import operations to insure superior delivery and product quality performance
· Negotiate and manage vendor supply contracts with overseas suppliers including management of capacity expansion efforts at both existing and new factories
· Over see Purchasing Analyst in daily management of purchase order requirements:
o Pricing
o Production and shipment planning/on time delivery
o 3rdParty pre-ship inspection coordination
o Import logistics management with vendors and freight forwarders
o Customer required product certification (FDA, Prop65, BV, etc)
· Work closely with Sourcing Manager in all aspects of strategic sourcing
o Research and analysis of reliable new vendors
o Qualification of new sources
o Management of RFQ processes
o Project management of bringing new factories on line and expanding existing vendors' capacity
· Share new product development management responsibilities with Product Marketing, Sales, and Engineering
Qualifications:
· Minimum 10 years experience sourcing and buying consumer products inSoutheast Asia
· Bachelor's degree from accredited university
· Strong expertise and successful track record in all aspects of strategic sourcing inAsia, international purchasing and supply chain management
· Hands-on experience sourcing, purchasing, product development, production, pricing, and contract negotiations in stainless steel, metals, plastic, polycarbonate, and glass, with hands-
· Prefer a background coming from a high growth and fast paced company, that is a leader in sourcing and supply chain processes
· Prefer background in serveware, cookware, bakeware, home appliances, floor care appliances, and other products where constant innovation is a priority
· Strong work ethic with flexibility to manage time differential withAsia
· Fluency in Mandarin a plus
