We are looking for a goal-oriented, service-minded leader with significant revenue recognition and managerial experience to join our team. This newly created role will direct the Company's worldwide revenue function and report to the VP/Chief Accounting Officer. The Sr. Director of Revenue will: Partner with senior sales management and legal in the leadership of the Global Deals Desk including driving the evaluation of deal structuring in 25 countries to ensure revenue-recognition friendly language and standard T&Cs Oversee internal and external teams responsible for EITF 08-1 and 09-3 implementation
Manage the transition from manual spreadsheet-based processes to systematic Oracle sub-ledger driven activities Direct worldwide revenue close processes to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and the Companys revenue recognition policies Partner with finance peers in order management, revenue forecasting and revenue-related tax issues of Company subsidiaries. Evaluate & and implement revenue recognition policies and rules. Direct all SOX-related activities including executing to control documentation and narratives as well as recommending process improvements. Provide training to direct staff, finance and sales on revenue related issues Lead staff of 7 professionals including US and non- US based employees
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA required. MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience within a mid to large sized hardware/software company. Extensive experience with and comprehensive understanding of SOP 97-2, SAB 104, GAAP, and SOX. Ability to partner with and influence staff at all levels and functional areas. Proven manager and leader with a strong track record of developing, motivating and mentoring high performing teams. Superior customer service, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
