Position Overview The Director/Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading a senior team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed their revenue goals. This individual must have a deep knowledge of the company’s business model and be able to communicate the value proposition of this model to potential clients. The ideal candidate will come with a strong existing network in the B2B space. The Director/Vice President of Sales will provide leadership, coaching and skill development, and ensure every team member is hitting plan. The Director/Vice President of Sales is responsible for implementing and managing metrics and processes that are highly predictive of the team’s sales success. The candidate must use quantitative as well as qualitative analysis to assess new business categories and specific potential clients. He/She must also be ready and willing to take on additional responsibility as opportunities arise. Management of key ongoing relationships will also be necessary.
Core Deliverables and Responsibilities • Provides leadership, vision, and clarity around the team’s goals and each individual’s accountabilities for achievement • Responsible for implementing and managing metrics and processes to support sales process • Ensures the team is present, motivated, and purposeful in achieving and exceeding their goals • Meet individual sales and performance plan • Manage key ongoing relationships
Requirements /Qualifications • 8-10+ years of sales experience (and experience managing successful sales teams) • Extensive High Tech Enterprise Sales or Agency Sales required • Strong B2B sales experience required • Excellent pipeline development and management practices • Track record of leading teams to success • Proven ability to consistently overachieve quotas and goals • Very high degree of business acumen • Experience leveraging performance reviews and employee disciplinary actions • Proven conflict management skills • Demonstrated ability to provide accurate, timely report and forecasts as needed by management • Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills • Proven track record of leading teams in a YOY growth • BA/BS required or relevant experience • MBA preferred
