Responsible for all product development activities from initial development through delivery, partnering with design and merchandising to deliver on brand product aesthetic, quality and margin objectives.
Technical Competencies & Relationship Management Partner with Sr. Director on sourcing strategy w/in key category Manage seasonal vendor allocation / capacity planning Own seasonal costing process / deliver line presentation samples that achieve IMU goals w/in merchandising framework Establish style specific cost targets (at initial allocation) Tech pack review Vendor cost negotiations Value engineering Framework adherence (R&D, merch)
Deliver on performance metric goals IMU while maintaining design intent Development ratio/adoption rate Reduction in countersourcing Scorecard performance (quality, speed, cost)
Responsible for fabric / trim liability Manage vendor relationships Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (design, merchandising, technical, compliance, quality, logistics & finance) Monitor critical path date adherence Address deficiencies as they occur with stakeholders / owners

Leadership & Management Partners with Sr. Director on developing and maintaining three year strategic plan and annual operating plans that are linked to annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Accountable for managing and developing the people component, including hiring, retention and compensation decisions, performance management, capability and skill development, career development and succession planning. Sets the appropriate tone for the organization. Effectively manages through periods of change with a positive attitude despite ambiguity and uncertainty. Actively manages and measures organizational performance through quantitative and qualitative assessment, including, monthly / quarterly department performance metrics, customer surveys and industry benchmarking. Responsible for identifying training and development needs. Works with Sr. Director to prioritize annual training and development programs and partners effectively with Supply Chain HR to deliver the programs.
