Description
We are looking for a Director of Social Media Marketing with experience in community building online. Responsible for leading and implementing targeted transparent blogger, email marketing, and social media for Family Tree, the #1 family application on Facebook.
Familybuilder is a leading Facebook application developer which owns and operates Family Tree. Helping families stay better connected by providing a service that facilitates communication and community among relatives. Functioning as a self-contained and private social network inside of Facebook, Family Tree provides its users with a personalized family news feed, photo sharing among relatives, messaging, polls and other fun activities. It also helps users find relatives who are on Facebook by tapping into its user contributed database of over 185 million family member profiles and 30 million registered users. Further, the service offers robust family tree building software for mapping and exploring family connections and history.
Responsibilities: * Supervision and execution of client campaigns including social media channel and community management, content creation, digital public relations, promotions, partnerships, blogger and influencer outreach initiatives, online events, etc. * Serve as key day-to-day community and implementation manager for brands and troubleshoot issues as they arise. * Collaborate with the media planning, search marketing, and SEO teams to leverage digital advertising and organic/paid promotional activities where appropriate. * Work with analytics team and oversee preparation of metrics, tracking and activity reports as based on client reporting needs. * Conduct and manage ongoing blogger outreach. * Conduct research and create materials to support general business development opportunities. Requirements: * 5-7 years of dedicated digital experience at an interactive, advertising, communications, public relations, and/or marketing agency. * Experience working on social media marketing programs, and word-of-mouth campaigns. * Experience building a brand using social tools like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. * Basic knowledge of web site design and development. * Knowledge of SEO, and search engine marketing fundamentals. * Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks. * Knowledge of online tracking and monitoring tools and ability to search and find key content within social media. * Bachelor’s degree required.
