Embedded Software Engineer Category: Software Engineer Description: TECHSTAFF is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the New Product Development Manager in the Medical Division, this person will work on project teams with regards to software design/development. Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in functional groups to perform peer design and code reviews.
* Writing and maintaining software requirement specifications accounting for both marketing and engineering goals
* Writing and maintaining Embedded Control System software
* Utilizing both internally and externally manufactured hardware
* Writing and maintaining Windows PC software for engineering and production test stations
* Creating and implementing both automated and manual software verification and validation testing.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or Computer Science and 4-6 years in the field or related experience. Must have extensive knowledge and experience with:
* Embedded ANSI C/C++
* Graphical User Interface design
* Windows PC based programming
* Testability methodologies
* Electronic trouble-shooting to the component level
