Emergency Services Director

An outstanding opportunity has opened for aDirector or Managerto join theEmergency Services Departmentof a well-respected healthcare facility in an intimate, rural city outside ofSeattle. This individual would be responsible and accountable for all supervision, direction and coordination of administrative and clinical nursing for Emergency Services at the hospital. The roleDirects and coordinates day-to-day operation and supervision. The unit offers critical care access and aLevelIIITraumaCenter.



All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or Bachelors degree in related field is required
* DO NOT APPLYunless you have 3 years experience inemergency care nursingand2 years ofprogressive managementexperience and knowledge of emergency and psych standards and staffing required
* Must maintain current licensure to practice nursing in the State ofWashington.ACLS, CPR TNCC, and ENPC required
* CEN is preferred but not required
* Advanced knowledge of general nursing theory and practice as well as familiarity with literature and new developments in nursing and pharmaceutical fields.
* Knowledge of hospital management operations and economics required.
* Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing personnel, pharmacy staff, and other health care professionals
* Physically capable of working 8-10 hour shifts portions thereof requiring prolonged standing and walking, minimal sitting, heavy lifting, pushing and pulling, stooping, bending and stretching
* This is generally aday shift, however the candidate must be willing to coordinate work schedule to meet the requirements of the position as needed.
