Engineer Network 3
The successful candidate for the Network Engineer position will provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection; implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements; conduct testing of network design; maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.; and evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least five (5) years experience or no Bachelor's degree and at least nine (9) years experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: A successful candidate should have general experience in LAN/WAN network engineering (including network design), installation, network monitoring and maintenance of various network equipment (routers, switches and associated technologies), as well as at least two (2) years experience with VoIP phone and VTCoIP technology
