Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and ineering Technician InternResponsibilities: * Assists in performing basic electronic hardware tests in accordance with defined engineering procedures or guidelines under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians. * Assistants in building engineering prototypes under the direction of an electrical engineer or experienced technician. Documents prototype construction and maintains pertinent engineering records. * Assists experienced technicians and/or engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components. * Assembles test fixtures, load banks, and other components common to product development. * Provides support to technician staff as needed. * Assists in processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of modest complexity under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians. * Follows and improves R & D lifications: * One of more years of undergraduate studies in two-year electronic technology or related associate degree * Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits * Familiarity with modern test equipment * Strong writing and speaking skills * Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities * Ability to work cooperatively in team environment * Background check results satisfactory to SEL * Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with C and assembly languages * Experience with O.S. and computer equipmentAn Award Winning CompanySchweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.
