This position requires at least one year of experience participating in financial and/or audit service eral Work Requirements:* Documenting agency business processes and internal controls, this may include those performed by other entities in support of the agency, making applicable recommendations for improved processes and controls, and assisting with implementing and institutionalizing related policies and procedures * Assisting with developing and implementing detailed solutions (corrective action plans) to improve business processes and/or resolve audit impediments* Preparing documentation for assertion in accordance with defined OSD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Office business rules* Identifying and reconciling data files to business and financial statement reporting, and assisting with development of repeatable/sustainable processes for data file retention and retrieval* Performing data mining and cleansing procedures* Developing and maintaining a communication plan to ensure cogent and continuous communication to assist in institutionalizing agency stewardship improvement and audit readiness* Assisting with financial statement analysis* Validating the effectiveness of corrective actions* Conducting reviews (e.g., FFMIA, FISCAM) of agency-owned and/or managed systems, Representing the agency and supporting agency positions on OSD working groupsResponsibilities/Characteristics: * Assist in drafting and preparing project deliverables* Interface with the client on a day-to-day basis* Support the completion of project specific tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints for implementation and acceptance process* Support presentations and client meetings* Develop required corrective or support actionsEducation and Experience: * Bachelors Degree in relevant business or technical field* At least 1 year of applicable financial or business consulting experience* Skilled in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.) is required* Excellent analytical and writing skills is highly desired* Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations and the principles of being directly involved in the acquisition aspect is highly desired* Familiarity with OMB Circulars A-123, Management's Responsibility for Internal Control; ; A-127, Financial Management Systems; A-134, Financial Accounting Principles and Standards; and the Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual is highly desired* Experience working with DoD/DLA is highly desired
