Requirements Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
- CPA a plus
- 2+ years of public accounting
- A combination of public accounting and private experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid knowledge of accounting principals and finance skills
- Experience with Oracle, SAP and Hyperion
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Function A Prominent Retail Firm located in Bergen County, New Jersey has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst
Duties Participate in the monthly closing process
- Consolidation of country submissions
- Perform standard journal entries
- Analysis and resolution of variances
- Prepare reports for senior management
- Follow-up with regions regarding missing or incomplete information and prepare a scorecard to report adherence to deadlines and data requirements
- Prepare monthly analysis on key financial statement accounts
- Identify unusual fluctuations and follow-up with appropriate financial contacts worldwide to obtain explanations on variances
- Summarize results of analysis for presentation for all levels of management
- Assist in the preparation of various analytical reports for senior management
- Assist in the preparation of monthly business updates distributed to the board of directors and senior management
- Assist in the preparation of annual US GAAP and IFRS Audited Financial Statements
- Participate on various finance led process improvement activities
- Support establishment and communication of financial policies and procedures
